Logan Shoals Vista Point, Lake Tahoe

Tahoe Trail Guide page for this “hike”.

Logan Shoals Vista Point is sort of just that, a vista point you see a sign for on the highway. We stopped to get a few pictures and found that there was more to it as below there is a nice hiking trail that goes along the lake. We didn’t pursue the trail, but found a potential activity for the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.

Here are some photos we took during our short stay before we jumped back into the car to continue down the road.

This is the view from the road.

After climbing down some, this is the view looking back up.

It was clear here that you could go further down, maybe all of the way to the water.

Found a lizard and took a couple pictures while trying not to scare him into hiding. My web search indicates it is a Western Fence lizard.

Ying found a nice rock for a lookout.

I found another lizard, or the same one as before as I can’t really tell.

Here are the right and left views of the trail that is going along the lake below the Logan Shaols Vista Point.

I spot a lizard again. A passerby jokingly refered to it as a dinosaur.

This common yellow bush has a nice contrast to the blue water.

Ying finds another cool lookout rock.

These “dinosaurs” seem to be all over the place.

Finally, here is a nice formation of rocks, apparently split over time from a single large rock.
